Cait Powers
Cait Powers received her dance training at the School of Oregon Ballet Theatre
under the direction of James Canfield and Haydee Gutierrez. At fifteen she was invited
to dance with the corps de ballet of Oregon Ballet Theatre. Since then Cait has begun
a career in theatre, film and print. She has performed with, among others, Lakewood
Theatre, Portland Opera,Imago Theatre, and Broadway Rose Theatre Company.
Scott Trumbo
Scott Trumbo was born in Hayward, California. Scott received his training from the
San Francisco Ballet School as well as the Pacific Northwest Ballet School.
He began his professional career at Pacific Northwest Ballet as an apprentice
and after a season there, James Canfield asked him to join Oregon Ballet Theatre
where he spent the next eight years.
At OBT Scott danced in numerous productions including “Go Ask Alice”,
“Lady Lucille and the Count”, “Equinox”, “Agon”, James Canfield’s “The Nutcracker”,
“Romeo and Juliet”and in Balanchine’s “Rubies”.
Renee Adams
Renee Adams began her dance training in Yakima, Washington and studied
privately for many years with Phyllis Cyr. After moving to Seattle, she danced for
Washington Contemporary Ballet as a guest artist, and then joined Spectrum Dance
Theater under the direction of Donald Byrd for two seasons. While dancing at
Spectrum Renee also worked for choreographers Thaddeus Davis and Jason
Ohlberg. Currenlty living in Portland, Renee has been dancing for BodyVox for
two years, as well as local modern company Teeth. Renee teaches dance at many
studios in the Portland and Vancover area.
Keely Love
Keely Aurora Love was was born in Columbia Falls, MT, where she received her first
ballet training at the age of four. She was later trained at the Northwest Ballet School
and joined the Northwest Ballet Company at age twelve. She received her BFA in
dance, emphasis in choreography and performance, from the University of Montana in
2004. Keeley has danced in numerous places, including Los Angeles, Seattle,
and Portland, as well as taught and been a guest artist in several companies. She
has had the honor of training with artists Patricia Wilde, Andrew Vaughn, Donald Byrd,
Evelyn Cisneros, Nicole Bradley Browning, Amy Ragsdale, and Michele Antonioli.
Keely currently dances in Portland with Polaris Dance Theatre and the
Bouand DanceCompany.
Tracy Carboneau
Tracy Carboneau received the majority of her training from Pacific NW Ballet School in
Seattle, where she performed with the company in a number of children’s roles
such as productions of Balanchine’s “Harlequinade” and the stage and
motion picture versions of the Nutcracker. Tracy went on to work with several ballet
companies including Ballet Oregon, American Festival Ballet, Eugene Ballet Company,
and Ballet de Monterrey in Monterrey, Mexico. In 1994 Tracy met her future husband,
Patrick, while working with Evergreen City Ballet on a production that toured to Kazan,
Russia as part of the Nureyev festival. Since returning to Portland in January of 2000,
Tracy has performed with Imago Theatre, The Broadway Rose Theatre Company,
Polaris Dance Theater and Portland Opera.
Megan Smith
Megan Smith began her dance training at Metro Center for the Performing Arts at age 4. She then studied at the School of Oregon Ballet Theatre under the direction of James Canfield and Haydee Gutierrez. In addition, Megan received training at the schools of SanFrancisco Ballet and Pacific Northwest Ballet. She has danced professionally with Oregon Ballet Theatre and Colorado Ballet and has performed the works of James Canfield, George Balanchine, Trey McIntyre, Michael Pink and Martin Fredmann, among others.
Megan currently teaches Ballet in the Portland area. She is very excited to be working with Bouand!
Melissa Framiglio
Born and raised near Pittsburgh, PA, Melissa trained with Patricia McKeown and at the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School, spending summers on scholarship at Boston Ballet, Chautauqua Festival Ballet and the Rock School. Upon graduating PBT, Melissa joined the Louisville Ballet where she enjoyed dancing a diverse repertory of principal and soloist roles such as Juliet, Cinderella, Terpsichore in “Apollo” and works by David Parsons and Paul Taylor for ten seasons. Since that time she has been teaching, guest performing and also received her certification in pilates and GYROTONIC®. Her daughter Sophia was born July 2006.
Edgar Badua
Edgar Badua is a native of Pearl City, Hawaii, Edgar Badua received his early dance
training from Dame Sonia Arova and Thor Sutowski. He is a graduate of the Alabama
School of Fine Arts and the recipient of the school’s Prix d’Excellence de Danse
award. He has danced with the Florida Ballet and Alabama Ballet. His repertoire
includes principal and soloist roles in numerous ballets including “The Nutcracker”,
“Swan Lake”, and “Giselle”. Other featured roles include Balanchine’s “Tarantella”,
Candy Cane, and Soldier Doll, the role of Mercutio in “Romeo and Juliet”, and the
Bluebird Pas de Deux from “Sleeping Beauty”. He has performed as guest artist with
Michigan Opera Company, California Ballet, Mary Luft and Company Ballet Hawaii,
Honolulu Dance Theatre, Southern Danceworks and BodyVox.
Emily Bartha received her early classical ballet training from Jacquie Kunzman, Nina Vasilieff Raimondo and Frank Bays. She later trained at The School of Oregon Ballet Theatre under the direction of James Canfield and Haydee Gutierrez. She also received training at American Ballet Theatre and Boston Ballet.Emily continued her dance training at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and Barnard College. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Policy with a minor in Dance. Since returning to Oregon, she has been a guest artist with Clackamette Youth Ballet and a member of Kinetic Images.Emily currently works in marketing at a local architecture firm and teaches ballet in her spare time.
Jenna Swanberg
Jenna Swanberg is a native of were she received her first dance training and early performing experience. She studied extensively with Sylvia Bolton, and performing roles included variations from classical repertoire; Sugar Plum in the Nutcracker Grande Pa de Deux, and Aurora in Sleeping Beauty. After graduating from high school she attended Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle where she was able to study both ballet and modern. At Cornish she had the opportunity to work with choreographers Olivier Wevers, Steve Casteel and members of the Cornish faculty. She is attending Portland State University with a major in speech and hearing sciences and a minor in dance.

Kelly Ramis (Apprentice 2009)
Kelly Ramis is a 17-year-old junior at Jesuit High School, began her dance training at the Multnomah Athletic Club where she is currently a member of their Elite Program under the direction of Laura Haney. She began her training at the age of 12, participating in competitions both nationally and internationally. Kelly is extremely excited to be working with Bouand and thanks her family, her team, and her teachers for helping make this opportunity possible!
